Feeding of Poecilotheria regalis

The Ornamental Tarantula has a big appetite and is a fast-moving Arachnid. It eats other insects, lizards, snakes, and frogs. This species is called an ornamental tarantula because it resembles tarantulas. This tarantula also known as the Indian bird spider. It is usually found near flowers, shrubs, and trees. The Poecilotheria regalis is one of the most venomous tarantulas. The tarantula is a predatory insect that feeds on small insects and other bugs. It uses its mouth to capture and digest its prey.

Its diet consists of flying insects, large insects, other spiders, scorpions, centipedes, small frogs, and reptiles. When they are ready to hunt, they go out at night and run after their prey. They capture their prey with their large fangs. Tarantulas inject an enzyme called chitinase into their prey, breaking down the insect. Then, they drink the liquid that contains chitin. If you put a tarantula in a bottle, you might be able to catch it. Read about old world tarantulas to discover more about their fascinating behavior and unique habitats.
